THE RADICAL HISTORY OF SELF CARE

The presentation you are about to watch is confronting. Self Care and its role in health literacy has lost its way. It needs to be re-defined and embedded accurately in communication moving forward. You have a role in that. As we say, you can't 'self care' out of oppression and we must return the meaning of Self Care to honouring and being mindful of its historical chapters. Those chapters must not be dismissed and replaced with consumerism. The world is in desperate need of healing and Self Care is an important step in that direction for the individual, communities and planet.
